2009 Parade of Homes

The Acadian Home Builders Association's Annual Parade of Homes is your opportunity to see the latest in home building! During the six day event, the public can tour newly constructed homes and get a sneak peek at home trends, designs and products. Patrons will also have the opportunity to meet AHBA builder members to discuss their own homebuilding plans.

Tickets are required for this event and include a Parade of Homes Guide Book which features pictures and descriptions of all homes as well as a fold out map.

The 2009 Parade of Homes will feature many homes in several subdivisions across Acadiana, all built by AHBA state-licensed builder members.

2009 Parade Dates:

March 28th & 29th, 2009
April 1st, 4th, & 5th, 2009

Parade Times:
Saturdays & Sundays - 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday - 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Tickets:
Available at all Lafayette Home Bank locations, Lafayette locations of Doug Ashy Building Materials (on Johnston Street and on Verot School Road), and the Acadian Home Builders Association Office (135 N. Domingue - off of West Congress Extension).

During Parade hours, tickets may be purchased in one subdivision to be determined before the event.

The ticket price is $6/each, and each person and child in a party must have a ticket. Children under are 2 admitted free. Tickets will be checked at the door of each home.

Guide Books & Maps:
Included with ticket purchase while supplies last.

Parade Rules:

  • Each $6.00 ticket is good for all six days of the Parade.
  • Each person and child in a party must have a ticket. Children under 2 admitted free.
  • Ticket holders may enter each home only once.
  • NO STROLLERS. All children must be hand-held.
  • Homes will be open during Parade hours only.
  • Builders reserve the right to close homes during inclement weather.
  • Absolutely NO PHOTOS, FOOD, OR DRINKS inside homes.
