The AHBA Member Directory is divided into two main categories: Builders and Associate Members. All builder members are Louisiana state-licensed contractors. Associate members are those who support the building industry such as subcontractors, suppliers, and professional service providers. Associates are further divided into subcategories by their type of work i.e. real estate brokers, painting contractors, etc.

HomeBuilders SIF

Builders and contractors have unique needs when it comes to their workers' compensation coverage. The HomeBuilders Self-Insurers Fund understands this. The fund began in response to the turmoil of the commercial insurance marketplace back in the late 70's. Insurance carriers were exiting Louisiana, and builders and contractors were faced with rising insurance costs, poor service and mounting problems. The answer was the HomeBuilders Self-Insurers Fund (HomeBuilders SIF), a workers’ compensation program built specifically for the construction industry.
