AHBA Events

For nearly fifty years, AHBA has provided the community with quality, locally-produced events such as the Blueprints Home, Garden and Leisure Show and the Parade of Homes, each showcasing the latest products and information from the residential construction industry. The association also hosts annual events for its members which include monthly General Membership Meetings (GMMs), the AHBA Crawfish Boil, and the Doug Ashy, Sr. Invitational Golf Tournament.

Working together with project partner KATC-TV 3, the Acadian Home Builders Association also produces the annual Home for the Holidays project. This fundraising event raises money for local charitable shelter organizations and has given $475,000 back to Acadiana since its inception in 2005.

We invite you to further explore the details of all of our events by selecting them in the menu to your left. As always, should you have any questions, feel free to contact the AHBA office: 337.981.3053.

Home for the Holidays 2010 Underway

Construction has begun on the 2010 Home for the Holidays project. Each year, the Acadian Home Builders Association builds a high-end dream home and raffles it off for charity. Now in its sixth year, the project has donated $625,000 to local Acadiana non-profit shelter organizations. Benefitting charities include Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Faith House, Acadiana Youth Inc., and St. Michael Center for Veterans.

AHBA needs your help! A project of this size would not be possible without the participation of many local companies. If you are interested in donating labor or materials to the 2010 Home for the Holidays, contact the AHBA office at (337) 981-3053.
