Parade of Homes
April 5, 6, 12 & 13, 2014

The Acadian Home Builders Association (AHBA) is proud to present the 52nd Annual Parade of Homes showcasing the latest in home building design and products. The event will feature 30+ newly constructed homes in subdivisions across Lafayette Parish, all built by state-licensed AHBA builder members.

Houses included in the Parade exhibit the hottest trends in architecture, floor layout, building materials, and appliances. Some are also furnished by local interior designers with styles ranging from English Tudor to Mediterranean, French Country to Coastal Contemporary. Square footage and prices range from starter homes to estates.

The Parade of Homes is a self-guided tour where ticket holders can view as many homes as they like in any order they choose. Ticket purchases include the official Parade of Homes Guide Book which contains pictures and descriptions of each home, builder profiles, and a map.

HomeBuilders SIF

Builders and contractors have unique needs when it comes to their workers' compensation coverage. The HomeBuilders Self-Insurers Fund understands this. The fund began in response to the turmoil of the commercial insurance marketplace back in the late 70's. Insurance carriers were exiting Louisiana, and builders and contractors were faced with rising insurance costs, poor service and mounting problems. The answer was the HomeBuilders Self-Insurers Fund (HomeBuilders SIF), a workers’ compensation program built specifically for the construction industry.
